Beyond the Labels
In Australia, the Clare and Eden Valleys are renowned for their crisp and refreshing Riesling with vibrant lemon and lime characters. Closer to home, in Nelson, the Riesling is perfectly balanced, slightly off-dry with bracing natural acidity.
Eden Valley is a paradise for Riesling, and Eve’s Paddock shows why... Production is limited to just 500 cases so embrace the temptation and savour the flinty lime taste sensation while you still can. From high-altitude vineyards in the beautiful Eden Valley - heaven for Riesling grapes. It shimmers with flinty, lipsmacking lemon and lime flavours - paradise in a glass.
Named after the distinctive Split Apple Rock in Abel Tasman National Park, this wine is from Austrian born Hermann Seifried, who built his pioneering winery nearby in 1973. All the fruit for Split Rock was selected from Hermann's own vineyards (one planted in the 1970s, the other in the late 1990s) in Nelson, a region well protected from the vagaries of the weather by mountains to the east, west and south. It's pure Riesling, a grape that has once more become popular. The wine is slightly off dry yet with more than enough bracing, natural acidity to make it perfectly balanced. Terrific with lighter Asian cuisine, and fresh shellfish.
Intense, minerally, searingly fresh Riesling from the sought-after Clare Valley. If you love Moonlake you'll adore the Moonlake Reserve ... a deeper, more intense and aromatic version of this much-loved Riesling – now with Gold! It's a sublime match to fresh oysters. Stock up!
The raw, rocky soils and cool summer evenings of the Clare Valley are perfectly suited to producing vibrant and refreshing white wines – just like the Fairview Ridge Riesling. This is classic lime-driven Clare Riesling with notes of kumquat, granny smith apple and bubblegum. Crisp, lively acid races toward a satisfyingly fresh finish. Alcohol at a relatively low 11.2%, makes for an approachable white easily paired with panfried garlic sea scallops or a variety of local cheeses.
