Who? Tim Cox, founder of Allegiance Wines, has been involved in the Australian wine industry across many facets for over 25 years. His passion for wine and allegiance to the grape has seen him create a range of outstanding wines from premium regions around the country. This drop was blended from vines aged from 65-80 years old, hand picked and bunch sorted.
What you’re in for… is a stunning drop of red! There are intense earthy aromas, ripe cherry and a hint of floral rose on the nose. It’s a medium-bodied wine with chocolate, cherry and spice on the palate, embraced lovingly by fine, velvety tannins. The finish is long, smooth, complex and delicious.
A classic example… South Australia’s Barossa Valley has a global reputation for producing some of Australia’s (and the world’s!) greatest full-bodied red wines. The Artisan Barossa Valley Grenache 2016 is an extraordinary example of how exceptional the Barossa and this red variety can be.
