Wine Summary
Grüner Veltliner is a silky and textured wine which has gained quite a cult folllowing. Until recently, the best-known examples came from Austria, but the Adelaide Hills is fast becoming the go-to region for Grüner. Huon Hooke, Tony Keys and James Halliday have all rated this luscious example an impressive 91 points. Not suprising really – Geoff Hardy is genuine winemaking royalty, and his wines are unfailingly excellent. “Fermented with unsettled, cloudy juice, successfully aimed at increasing the mouthfeel and flavour of the wine, which wanders through ripe nashi pear and faint touches of white pepper and ginger. A nice example ... 91pts” (Halliday).
