In 1995, McLaren Vale stalwarts Drew Dowie and Norm Doole got together over a bottle of red and decided to combine their formidable talents. By the time the bottle was finished, DOWIE DOOLE was born. Premium fruit from prime old vine McLaren Vale vineyards is transformed by winemaker Chris Thomas into works of pure wonder. Made with 89% Grenache from 53 year-old vines and 11% of aromatic Vermentino, this unique style is dry, fresh, crisp & vibrant. Judges at the McLaren Vale Wine Show called it “fine boned, classy and very provincial” before giving it Gold AND the Trophy for Best Rosé in the show!
