Australia is home to some very fine Cabernet. Coonawarra makes some of the finest. This top Cabernet comes from a fifth-generation winemaker whose ancestors planted some of the first vines in South Australia in 1837. Halliday calls it <i>“a distinguished estate with a proud history, long renowned for its Cabernet”.</i> <br><br> <i>“A full-bodied cabernet crafted across 12 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak, this is delicious… the American oak conferring a rich coffee bean scent and warmth to a generous seam of blackcurrant, olive and dark cherry to bitter chocolate notes… The tannins are gently pliant and nicely handled, facilitating earlier drinking.
